In recent times, tech giants are not willing to miss out on the artificial intelligence train and
are taking new steps, or at least attempting to. After Microsoft, Google, and Amazon, it has
now emerged that Instagram also has some plans in the field of artificial intelligence. According
to leaked screenshots shared by app researcher Alessandro Paluzzi, Instagram might
be working on an artificial intelligence chatbot.
According to the screenshots shared by Paluzzi, Instagram's artificial intelligence chatbot will
be able to answer questions and provide advice to users. Users will be able to choose from
up to 30 personalities to interact with. The chatbot will also be able to assist those who have
difficulty writing messages. Furthermore, based on the screenshots, it will be possible to add
the chatbot to a conversation with another user using "@" just like adding another user. Artificial
intelligence chatbots continue to be popular among social media platforms. For example,
Snapchat has a chatbot named My AI supported by Open AI's GPT technology. Similarly, it
has been revealed that TikTok is testing its own artificial intelligence chatbot named "Tako".
It is currently unclear what infrastructure Instagram is using for its own artificial intelligence
chatbot. Additionally, there is no information available on when the company will release this
product. However, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg stated in February that the company has a
team working on artificial intelligence characters for Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp.
Therefore, we may meet this product shortly.
Artificial intelligence technologies are increasingly being used in various fields, and they are
expected to play an even more important role in social media platforms. With the development
and widespread adoption of these technologies, significant changes in user experiences
are anticipated. This leads companies to increase their investments in artificial intelligence
and intensifies competition in this field.
