Samsung unveiled its latest flagship artificial intelligence-supported S24 series at an event held in the state of California. The company
stood out as one of the first device manufacturers to incorporate artificial intelligence technology into its software in the smartphone
series.
The Galaxy AI present in every Samsung Galaxy S24 model offers a range of productive capabilities, including language detection, translation, image creation, and coding. Samsung's new device and cloud-based artificial intelligence model, Galaxy AI, were the central themes highlighted during the event. Here are the features found in Galaxy AI:
Circle to Search With Google: Previously, on Android, long-pressing the home button triggered Google's voice assistant. In the Galaxy S24, the same action activates an image-based Google search by touching or enclosing an object within a screen overlay. Since the results are presented above your current screen or app, exiting the interface takes you back to your starting point
Live Translate: With this feature operating on the device, you can hear real-time translations during a phone call and see the text versions. Thanks to artificial intelligence, the person you are speaking with will also hear you in their native language.
Transcript Assist: Galaxy AI can transcribe, translate, and summarize voice notes and texts in the Samsung Notes application. For instance, if you record a lecture or meeting, artificial intelligence can convert these sounds into a text document and even extract a summary of the key points from the generated text.
Generative Edit: Similar to Google's Magic Editor, Galaxy AI allows you to change images by long-pressing on objects, moving them, resizing them, or removing the background. Additionally, using Google's Imagen 2 in the background, you can expand images with generative filling. This enables you to edit photos without distorting their dimensions.
Chat Assist: When you're unsure how to express a message appropriately, Galaxy AI offers various alternatives in different tones, including casual and formal. In essence, artificial intelligence edits the message you want to send in a suitable language, providing you with new options.
Many features in the artificial intelligence department are supported by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. The artificial intelligence- supported camera of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, working alongside a 200MP main camera and a 50MP sensor camera to enhance optical quality.
The Adaptive Pixel Sensor reduces shaky and pixelated images when zooming at levels ranging from 2x to 10x, producing high-resolution pictures. Moreover, images provide crystal-clear results at 100x with advanced digital zoom.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra, with pixels 60% larger than the previous model, allows more light to enter. This improves the device's low-light shooting capability (Nightography). Improvements are also made to optical image stabilization (OIS) for less blurry photos, and the image signal processor (ISP) processes image noise.
